Vray Glow Effect

Hello There,

I’ve tried to add a glow effect to and object and it works with the regular surface shader, however, when you try to get a glow effect using vray, it doesn’t work, it just illuminates stuff around it like a regular light.

Anyone know how to use Vray (specifically and only with Maya) to create a glow effect radiating around from the object?

I’ve seen this question several times online with no answer.

I need this to work but specifically with vray and maya.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

There are the lens effects in the frame buffer, that is the only easy way you’ll get that type of glow in VRay without involving extra geometry and shading tricks.
