Vray for Maya Normal Map Issue

Hey Everyone,

After exporting all of my textures out of Substance Painter, I imported into Maya and connected texture file nodes to their proper attribute including the normal map. When I did so, I noticed my swatch preview had a black effect against the Fresnel and now my textures appear black whenever I render from the side. I have not changed my workflow recently, and do not understand why it is breaking now.

Map type in the attribute editor to Local Space Bump Map it works fine.

Try inverting green channel of normal map in Photoshop… or select “invert y” while exporting normal map from texturing software… hope that helps…
