VRay caustics and GI

#1

Heya!

These are my fisrt “real” attempts at VRays caustics and GI systems.

I like the outcome a lot, except for the caustics scene, I went for a glassy orb look… I just don’t think it looks quite so glassy-ish as it could… but hey, I suck at materials

Caustics + GI:

Any thoughts and comments are welcome. More specifically, ways to improve

I’m currently using the freebies from sachform.de, but planning on getting the Skies HDRI package from doschdesign.com

And I was right about the glass look! I knew it didn’t look right

and sorry for the extreme use of DOF

Nice Render I used V-ray for my Anim too.

But When I put the Motion Blur Up The time increased soo much.

How many time rendering for each pics ?

#7

first one was just about 15 minutes, and the second ran on little over an hour

I had to adjust the alarm on my CPU watcher, it kept going off after just 5 mins of rendertime
