Anthropods is a good topic. I reckon we do that and we leave it pretty open to interpretation. And the polycount and texture limits suggested earlier. They sound good.

We could go higher, but then it’s not much of a mini-mini challenge anymore.

I was thinking we could get two/three concept artists from the other subforum to do us a level concept (one from each of them, so we have 3 to choose from) and have us ugac artists model and texture an environment from that…
since the insect idea has got so popular we should do that for this one and my idea for the next maybe?

GLandolina, that would be a cool way to do it some time, but not show your WIP until the final submission. That would make it a boring one to watch, but fun for those who join in.

Depends what kind on insects, are we doing individual realism, or won’t-kill-your-comp swarms, or huge mechanical, or what?
