Video Series: Modeling a Head in Wings3D

#1

Edit (Added Video 3)
Here are links to a Wings3d video series. (Mainly for 3D and/or Wings3D beginners) I’ll update/bump when more installments are online.
Thanks for looking!

Video 1: Setting up the guide textures
Video 2: Beginning the model
Video 3: Smooth View, Beginning the Eye and Mouth
More on the way…

Why don’t you use image plane? I think it would be a lot faster than Mapping a cube and applying the pictures to the texture there. Anyways nice tut I think part one is too long and it sort of states the obvious and part two is too fast where you really need it to slow down so you can see what is happening. I have a very different meathod of making a head I woudl like to try your way sometime see how it turns out.

Added part 3.

Hmm, didn’t know about Image plane. (Thanks!) This series is mainly intended for those new to 3D and/or Wings3D. Not really the audience of this forum, but there may be a tip or too for the experienced Wings3D user so I’ll put it here anyways.

I’m just getting back into modelling in my free time and these videos really helped. I’m looking forward to the rest of the set.
