NCSoft is seeking an experienced VFX Artist to join its seasoned team of industry professionals led by key contributors of award winning massively multiplayer games. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly creative environment at NCsofts headquarters in Austin, Texas.
As a VFX Artist you will be responsible for the development of a large range of visual effect art assets according to the agreed design and within the constraints of the target hardware and software. These art assets include particle systems, meshes, textures, and animations.
Skills should include mastery of mesh and texture development process, technical prototypes, materials development, particle effects, and animation.
Requirements:

2+ years of professional 3D artist experience.

Expertise in 3DstudioMax 7 and Photoshop CS
-
2+ years working on visual effects for games
-
Creative, proactive problem solver.

Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with both Artists and Programmers

Highly motivated individual with solid team skills
-
Mature, positive individual with ability to approach art development with objectivity.

Strong, demonstrable abilities in traditional art
Pluses:

Min. 2 shipped products (games, movies, television)

Experience with creating and editing cinematics and/or gameplay trailers

Experience with modeling, texturing, and lighting 3D environments
-
MMP game development experience
