Hi ! Can anyone please help me with this because those problems are driving me crazy…
I’m working with Maya 2015.
Problem 1 : When i hover over a face or an edge with my mouse it highlights a vertex around the face or the edge.

(the mouse is not displayed on the image but it’s over the middle of an edge…lol)
I want to be able to select my vertices by hovering over them only because it cause problems if i want to drag and select multiple vertices.
Problem 2 : When i want to select two vertices that are overlaping each other (same positions) by drag selecting them, it only selects one.

I want to be able to merge my vertices by selecting them at the same time.
