Some new stuff, from life except for #6:

Thanks, outlawstar. I’ll be doing a lot of painting in the near future.
Sketch from last night, a local liquor store:

Those interior sketches with the chairs and computers are beautifully rendered, exccellent work!!!
Thanks!
Over the weekend, I was up a few hours north of SB with a friend of mine. The hotel was in Salinas, but we mostly hung around Carmel, and Monterey. Salinas is somewhat rundown and the only restaurants we could find were chains.
Carmel is beautiful, there’s no doubt about it. Lots of hills and trees everywhere, and some great looking jagged rocks in the oceans, and super soft sand at the beaches. I stepped in a couple galleries while I was there, one of which was of this guy Roger Budney, who as it turns out graduated from the same university that I did (UCSB).
Monterey had some visually interesting things over at cannery row: super-gimmicky and touristy souvenir shops and things. Might be interesting to draw those if I ever come back there. This time I ended up drawing a building that was on the shore and the inside of the restaurant where we got some oysters on the half shell and a couple drinks.

Continuing to study landscapes & interiors. Mostly in Santa Barbara. The In-N-Out was in LA, not that it matters since they’re all the same inside.

Last couple of posts look Awesome, your line work is extremely assured, and Im loving your life studies, beautiful, keep it up, if only so I can see more!
Thanks guys. I’m still keeping up. I think the landscape/architecture drawing is going pretty well so far. I think I also need to do more focused studies as well, trying to get things to as refined as I can.
Part 1:

I was in LA for SIGGRAPH, so stopped by Venice Beach and West Hollywood. I also turned 26 on August 1st.
