heres a quick and simple render sing default brazil materials(im not good at rendering/materials so please forgive me)
there are some errors created byt the conversion from max6 to .3ds and theyre visible o nthe render
(the errors on the middletop of the rimms)
(some errors on positions of the hood not aligning with theheadlights and stuff like that)
the max6 file does not have these errors anymore
(and i dont have an interior yet)
anywayz heres the pic

The lights are too tall and square, they look like they a from a mitsubishi lancer. try to curve them more at the top

There are some problems on the rear; it’s all…err…bubbling
The front, as kyle_tdr has pointed out, needs some shapes fixed.
Good attention to the small details though, I hope you can make it even better…
Keep it coming!
i started the interior
(not very detailed but to make the real look when looking through the glass)
heres a small picture
(its my first interior so it might suck)

lol old
anywayz i almost finished it(busy with school and stuff)
heres a newer render(played around with materials)
doesnt look superrealistic but it isnt bad imho
tell me what you think and critize me or give tipson materials

first off your car looks great. Can you tell me how you create your head lights. I am modeling a VW Golf and i am stuck on how to model the headlights. THanks
first off nice work so far. Can you explain how you created the headlights. I am trying to create my headlights for my Golf and i dont really know where to begin.
well i made the headlights according to the blueprints
gave it an glass material(i tried bump mapping but as u can see the result was poor)
i modelled a sphere and a cap and gave them chrome material.
thahts about it:/
ok thanks man i guess i just need to jump right in and model it. I need to stop looking for tutorials and just do it until i get stuck. One more question how did you create the car and if you used polys how did you get it so smooth.
I used blueprints and made planes in 3dmax and aligned them and gave them the blueprints
then i just start with either the roof or the hood and start building poly by poly from there
after i did that i will look at the details and create them chamfer edges and stuff
then i apply meshsmooth iterations 1 or 2 to get the smooth effect
