vehicle model: Powered Parafoil

#1

I’ve been here on and off, but mostly lurking when it comes to this place. Anyhow I thought it might be neat to share a WIP and see what you think of it so far. It’s a model of one of those powered parafoil vehicles (or whatever they’re called.) Still I’ve got to figure a way to mount the engine to the frame properly (since what I can find in the way of reference pics are so-so.)

First set of images showing engine closeup, frame, and complete craft:

Next set of images showing updated frame and engine:

[left]BTW, in case anyone didn’t know this yet - if you’re doing tubular framework structures, the intersect command is a good thing to get familiar with.

Also anyone have some suggestions for changes or details besides the obvious?

I really like the propeller, how was this made?

From a cylinder (one of my favorite shapes to use in Wings) which is then welded to a squashed cylinder at 90°. Then some rotate with magnet is applied in the right spot. Then it’s a matter of pulling some verts around. Loop cut the one cylinder and discard it’s bottom half. Duplicate the rest, rotate 180° around the bottom, and weld. Well, that’s the gist of it at least.

And here’s some cage shots of the bottom section so far:
