Vector Displacement

#1

Hello, I am hoping someone will have a idea that help me with my problem. I am following the instructions verbatim for tangent displacement with Ben’s fantastic Vector Displacement addon in 7.01. Everything looks great until I start animating. I get gaps in my geometry near the UV borders. My UV’s have at least 20 px between shells. I am using Fine Displacement with View Dependent Refinement. I have tired several other settings as well. This happens on multiple objects. I have tried everything I can think of with no success. Anyone seen this or know what I am talking about? I have an example render HERE

Also, is there any way to extend the color bleed past the uv border when using Rendermap? Like in Zbrush.

Cheers,
Christopher

Posting all forums again. Two weeks lost on this and still no accurate Vector Displacement rendered in XSI. Hoping someone will have a bright idea to help me with this.

I tried using 3D Coat with the same type of results.

Did you try using Linear UV’s ? It could be 3D coat and XSI are using a different smoothing algorithm.

Yeah, since I am using zbrush, I have to use linear uv’s.
