Vary Value of Parameter Randomly with Clone ID


Suppose I am using a cloner to clone a sweep, as follows:

Suppose I want the “width” parameter of the “Rectangle” spline to vary randomly with each clone (in other words, make thickness of each frame random). How would I achieve this?
I’m referring to this parameter: I want its value to vary randomly with each clone:

To be clear, I am looking for a GENERAL method here; I would like to be able to randomly vary ANY arbitrary parameter of some object within a cloner based on its ID; this scene was simply an example. I am open to Python and/or Xpresso if necessary (in fact, I’d prefer to use Python to do this, but I just don’t know how to).
