I have made this picture last year. I think this is not my best but I like it.
image done with lightwave.
rendering time: around 13mn with a dual PIII 533, 512mo
I make 3D since 3 years.

I’m using 3dsmaX
and I have discovered 3D 2 years ago.

@ SILMAETH : impressive ! I like htis type of character, like a doom or quake monster.

#73

Wouldn’t claim it’s my best, but a favorite.

Done right after Episode I came out. This is not the LW thing from “birmingham studios” Modeled in AutoCAD - textured and rendered in MAX. Background elements created with Bryce. Compositing accomplished with Photoshop.

#74

Thanks guys! That is regular MAX scanline renderer

#75

Wow, there is some really cool stuff in this thread!! :applause:

Let me also contribute

Well, I’ve done lots of work that I’m proud of - but most of the really awesome stuff are things I worked on as part of a team.

So if I had to choose my favourite piece out of the stuff I’ve done completely by myself, I’d say it was this hand:

(The rest of the character can be seen on my gallery here .

Modelled and Rendered in Lightwave 7.0
All textures are hand painted in Photoshop 5.5
Hair done with Saslite

#78

Sweet Leigh, The hand looks pretty freaky! :buttrock:

#79

Thanks dgpilot!
Your image is great too!! How I love volumetric lights!

Okee, nothing on some of you guys but a few things I’ve cooked up in the past.

Using Amapi3D 4.1, Moray and POVRay 3.1g

Blender WIPS

Enjoy… or not!

Must stop slacking and get the hang of Realsoft3D.

regards, Paul
