We are pleased to inform you that we have released a new update 3.9992 for “V-RayMtl Converter 3”.

In this update we added option to switch rgb color space to ACEScg or sRGB in all VRayBitmap and VRayColor texture maps used in the corresponding VRayMtls slots (diffuse, reflect, refract, translucency, SSS, etc.). This option is now available in the “Advanced Fix” section and is supported for V-Ray 5 and later only.

In this update we added support for Corona Renderer v7 and add conversion from CoronaPhysicalMtl to VRayMtl. In addition, in order to improve existing and add new features, we have completely rewritten the function of switching the color space in ACEScg or sRGB. As a result, this feature is smarter and more accurate!

In this update we improved collect and handling of all materials used in the scene (including all materials used in ForestPack, etc.). New version V-RayMax Converter PRO (v4) is out!

V-RayMax Converter PRO is the professional version of maxscript, formerly known as “V-RayMtl Converter”. This new generation converter was released after version 3 and has various new features and improvements: support for more materials, maps and other scene components, more choice of materials to convert, interaction with converter functions through built-in maxscript methods (API), as well as more flexible conversion options and scene adjustments.

The following render engines are currently supported for conversion to V-Ray: Default Scanline (Standard), Corona Renderer, FStorm Render, Octane Render, finalRender, Arnold (basic), and as additional - NVIDIA iray (unofficial) and Brazil Advanced materials. A more detailed list of materials, maps and other scene components supported for conversion can be found here.
