uv mapping

#1

Hi,

I’m just getting into trying uv mapping in wings, having looked at various tutorials here and on other sites. I’m new to 3d. If my main direction ultimately is characters and I don’t have any other modelling aps for refining the maps, do I need something like uv mapper in addition to wings? I’m just trying to figure out appropriate workflow.

Thanks in advance
JRH

No, you will not need any other programs to do uv mapping, as wings has it all built in.

A Basic walk-through for Wings UV Mapping can be found here:

A tutorial here:

And another in the Manual

Hi,

Glad to hear that. Those are three of the sources I’ve been going over. All of them extremely helpful.
Thanks.
