UV image format like 3ds RPF?

Is there a format, similar to Discreet’s RPF or their take on RLA, that Maya can generate and can be used with Shake? I am looking for an image format that contains UV data that Shake (…or another compositor) can utilize.

UV data is really easy to generate and work with…

Personally, I’d suggest doing a second render with a UV texture on (U = red, V = green) - make sure that there are no ‘shadows’ at all…

Then, to use this in Shake, you can use a DisplaceX node. Check out the comments on this post on my blog for details of how to do this…
