Using reactor to creat a hanging cloth?

#1

Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone could give any tips on using reactor to create a cloth hanging from three points.

I’ve got three poles, two poles 8’ tall and one 12’ tall. There is a cloth in the shape of a triangle hanging from the top of each pole, so as you can imagine it’s draping a bit in the middle where there is no slack and the ends that are connected to the poles will be static.

I could model this, but I want a more natural feel and I know this can be done fairly easy with reactor but I have no clue where to start.

Any tips?

Thanks,
Jason

I’d rather use cloth modifier than Reactor. It’s faster and easier to get the result u want. On the other hand it depends on what u wanna achieve. Check out Paul Hormis’ DVD:s on cloth, they’re great. Pauls web site: http://www.hyperent.com/
He also has some great scripts for rigging and a layer manager called the Onion.
