I’m not great when it comes to setting up hardware and so would really appreciate some help and advice.
I’m thinking of getting a render workstation so that I can off load animations from my main computer freeing me up to continue working. This particular company looks to offer a good system http://www.workstationspecialist.com/rendering_systems/rs-d/
I’m running a mac pro at the moment and using Maya with Arnold. I know that Arnold only allows you to run one node with the one license.
Does anyone use Arnold and have a similar setup to what I’m thinking of doing? If so I’d really appreciate it if you could talk me through how you’d set this up and what if any problems there are in working this way?
My main questions are.
Do you need a render management system to work this way. And if so what is the best one?
How easy is it to set up?
Is it easy to switch the Arnold licence between the two computers?
