using Aim constraint

#1

so i’ve tried to use the aim constraint to get some eyeballs to track around my scene. but when i hook up the constraint they still don’t follow the null their aimed at.

the eyes are already skinned, from Max. i wonder it this is why it doesn’t work.

anyone here have experience with this?

#2

in the end my solution was to parent the eyes to the BipHead in 3dsMax… and then while in Motionbuilder use the aim constraint.

initially i was skinning the eyes in Max and trying to use the aim constraint in MB

I am not sure of your entire set up.

But you can also parent items within MotionBuilder. Just FYI.

#4

yes. for sure… i think i ended up doing it in max because it’s so fast and easy there.

thanks for the info though!
