This is a full cg shot, consisting of mostly matte painting and camera projection techniques. The cars are cg renders/animation. The smoke was done using Maya fluids, and the snow was done using nParticles. There are three layers of snow, the first two shaded with cloud shading, and the farthest snow is rendered using multi-point. There are roughly 6-7 geometry sets per building for the projection, to account for all of the internal parallax of the structures.
Iām still tweaking the look a bit, as well as I need suggestions on creative ways to do the breakdown, as this is going to go in my demo reel.
