“Casinni” (NASA’s spacecraft) returns to earth after a 14 year voyage from Saturn. On the spacecraft a Probe built by Russia was dispatched into Saturns biggest moon “Titan” as casinni orbited around Saturn collecting images and data, the probe landed on Titan and gathered never before seen images and data of the moons icy terrain. Within the frigid cold habitat a strange unknown life form approaches the probe and manages to join the ride back to earth. On it’s arrival the Alien being named “EOS” (Godess of dawn) is curantined and sent to “Uplift Universe” where humans and aliens interact. This is it’s story…

I must say after browsing the novels and getting more formiliar with the guidlines and deadline, I must admit my first approach was ambitous. I have re-arranged the game plan; As they say “back to the drawing board”. I have designed a couple rough sketches of money shots I plan to put together based on visions I came across reading some of David Brin’s stuff.

I’m working on my shots as I go, kind of in a unorthodox style. I was taught otherwize but manage to get cool results. Feel free to suggest or comment on this shot as I will post the WIP.

What is this shot saying? Is the chimp giving something to her or it is his Armor. Your previz and textures are great.

Thanks, In this shot the lady is handing over her daughter (Amy WU) to the gorillas to raise and protect as the war rages on. I took this vision browsing through the uplift literature provided by the link. I will post the latest wip later today.

Well, I feel the real prize here is the experience of successfuly completing these shots. As these shots develope; my skill and knowledge grow along with it. I am pass due on this shot but without pre-Prod process It is mostly experimental. I feel I am close and expect to finish this shot in 3 more days. Then I will move on to the next shot which will be more exciting.

Hey Melkao, Gracias I am now totally consumed by this project and am heading foward. I feel this shot is the most important because it depicts Human Alien relations. Thats why i am putting so much time and care into it. I will post the progress and final look of this shot by Fri.

Ok, I’m finally down to the last details of this shot. The foreground needs time. I’m aiming to complete this shot by wed. Then move on to the War scene. Time is not helping me.
