I have sent an image before i tell the happenings here and the recent development.

I have changed the story just because of the tight schedule and it seems i cant complete the previous story. But i liked the idea behind it and i am planning to do it later.

New story simply tells the story of a planet exploration, which spoiled by a mistake of the explorers. They bring some spores and seeds accidentally to a new mining planet, then these spores locate and grow and regretfully some seeds belong to some kind of small carnivore plants. But new minerals and climate helps them grow bigger and bigger than they become some human eaters!!!

Story is basic as you see, and hereby the aliens are -plants!-.

Not so original but certainly original for this challenge i think. Infact i dont prefer to use famous “grey” kind aliens or “alien” kind aliens :slight_smile:

I am thinking of using a “RETRO” style sci-fi appearance like as if it was between 50’s and 70’s in general. I like them much. Pulp Sci-Fi comics were dominating the area in my childhood, i read much at those times.

You know those rocket ships and pipsqueak lazer guns … :))

Anyway, lets continue to submit.

I preferred this kind of “cartoon” material to support the “retro” appearance. Cartoon material is produced with “falloff” maps of 3Dmax’s own standart material.

It became apparant that it might not be completed until today even though the given extra week, i gave it up sunday evening.

I am sorry to not join to the finalists. However i hope i complete that one later and show it with the other similar video projects of mine altogeteher in my website soon.

Now the only thing i can do is watching the finalists and saying let the best wins. :slight_smile:
