Bruce’s Head, with the SSS map etc
I am still deciding on the Red War paint…
Uplift Universe - Video Entry: Eugene Ahlers
Blending the Face and Body. I have also added bit more detail in shaders.
Edit: I still need to change some stuff and add propper specular. But for time being this can work for what I want.
I think you have an interesting ‘look’ thusfar. With some interesting deformations and movement this character could be really unique!

BRuce with some legs and an experiemental Goo.
I have started rigging Bruce and gave him some temp leg for now… if I have enough time left later, then I will give him the desired leggs,. But for now, this will do
Reworked her hair and some skin texture again. As well as changed the suite.
Added some light to the scene to get an idea of shadows on her.
u hav got some good texturing goin on there…
my concern is… the proportions of her body are really going off…
just my view though…
good luk!
Sorry for the delay in submissions, but I will be posting some more images soon.
Unfortunately I had data loss and corruption and now busy trying to restore as much as possible. The rest I have to redo. As for the models and main textures, I was able to get them again (copied them to my laptop) but rigging, props and scenery are all remake.
Edit: Hopefully you wont notice too much difference in the models
Bruce is running through the sewers, trying to escape from prison.
From previous submissions, the biggest noticable change is the bump map.
Software: 3ds max
Well, this is my submission so far. I have been having quite some problems with render the scenes. for example, rendering any scene with hair in a 2nd time, after changing something like lights etc, then max crash (Though it does not happen always, else I would not have been so far at all even)
As of now, I have lost more than 4 days worth of render time. So I had to cut back quite a lot of things. But nevertheless, I want to endure in the challenge as I am doing them to learn more about the 3d animation world.
This is by far the most complex animation I have ever tried. Hope you like it as much as I have enjoyed making it.
As for the fight scene, I have extended it, but having quite some issues rendering it, hope it will be done soon. (Had to restart the render this morning -.-)
Hey,
I hear ya…I always have a hard time rendering hair (so I try to avoid using hair systems at all costs ;))…although your hair looks good! You’ve got the dynamics going and everything, so good job
I think the main issue right now is the animation…it’s very robotic and stiff (especially in the fight scene)…I think with some fixed-up animation and lighting tweaks this entry could look very nicely polished.
Looking forward to the trailer and making-of
Hey mate…I’m not seeing a video…are you sure it uploaded ok?
Nows the time to check since the contest is almost over!!
Thanks for this info, I went to bed while it was uploading as it was taking some time…
Hopefully I can get it up correcly now
