one question, because i gave up on ZB a long time ago just because of this… how do you setup the rigging ?? because when you import it to 3D max for exemple, it usualy has about 500 000 polygons (to look good)… and leaving no more RAM for the background… soo…
Normally, you don’t export the hi res mesh for rigging, that will kill you machine no question! what you do is export/original lo res mesh, and use normal map or displacement map generated from ZB, to turn you lo res mech into “hi res” model.
Yes… this helps for the rigging… but in ortder to use that displacement map you would have to put a poly divider on the model after the Rigging… so you still kill your computer when you add the background…
anyway…
I usualy render scenes by “layers”… but it’s kind of a waste of time when compositing…
Never used ZB for an animated character… but this time it looks like I have no choice… that’s way i was asking… to see if everybody deals with this problem…
great spaceship design! i like the silver version better, although the textured version is nice too. silver just looks more fancy, more alien…as if they are so advanced that they dont need the ugly panels and bolts to hold it together : )) but then again…this one is organic…as if they grow their ships, which is even more advanced and alien lol…nice shape anyway
