this is the rendered model of environment for my painting
Uplift Universe - Image Entry: Ravindra Badgujar
Wow! You’re doing great!
I like your approach of placing 2D figures in a 3D-rendered scene. It looks very convincing!
The idea of your work is great: it gives the sort of feeling of a classic traditional painting, but then in a modern way (hmm… better say: futuristic
). I also like your way of painting - defining the shadows/lights with a hardbrush: looks effective and gives nice results!
All the best on finishing it! :wavey:
I have tried to show relation of mother and child in a situation where she has 2 kids alien and human. in this picture her infant is in deep sleep and the other alien is trying to touch or wants to play with the infant, but his mother don’t want to disturb his infant so she is just telling him to let him sleep for now.
As I said before: I’m amazed by the level of integration between your 3D scene and the 2D characters! It became a fantastic piece of art!!
I think it really deserves more attention, as it’s in my eyes one of the best uplift-entries! (by the way: I’m overall amazed by the level of quality the entries have: seems overall allot higher quality then in the previous challenges!)
Hi Gubz, This is a not completly 3d, the characters are illustrated in photoshop ( see my WIP ) and then environment is made in 3DS MAX and rendered in mental ray.
Hi Dutchman,
Thank you very much for you attention and appriciation, I too like this technique of integrating 2D and 3D elements together, and will use it more in future contest. I was thinking to participate in Animation too with the same concept, but I think the time is too short to start now, cause animation involves sequence rendering and needs much faster system. unfortunetly I dont have that much faster machine I only have athlon. lets see.
But thank you again, See you in next challenge.
where there is a will there’s a way out … I think u can do it never give up.
WHEN THINGS GET TOUGHER THE tough get going …
best of luck
