Want to see if it look good without the window…

#22

Looking good, I like your latest concept. Good luck!

#23

Great composition, I like the balance of the planets and the cityscape in the background. The alien has an intriguing look, especially when you create the Victorian style dress. Looking forward to seeing how this progresses.

#24

Hi,
very nice alien queen character, love it:thumbsup:. Bagus banget. He he sama sama dari Indonesia nih.
Good luck to you:)

#25

Still working too slow aaagh… Hope I can finish this sketch tommorow. If not I’ll go straight to coloring, since the hardest part, the ones I have to sketch first is nearly done (the alien and the baby)

#26

Pearlyking, glad someone agree ^^ I was worried the compo was rather centric.
Headtrip thank you very much, the dress scares me ^^. I hope I can pull it off.
Hi JoPu, thank you ^^, I’ll look up your thread later.
Thank you so much guys, it’s been hard for me this week. Your supports really mean a lot.
Ah… question. does the Queen look better milking the baby like the latest pic (is the bottle even visible?) or just holding it away. Because the Queen’s hand, the bottle and the baby’s reaching hand overlap each others

Thank you

#27

Peter! Really cool concepts and ideas! The last one looks a bit like a “religious” painting, something like a madonna? Keep it coming!

Dimitrij.

#28

beautiful sketch and concept

#29

This is getting silly. I can’t seem to find the right background. Everytime I stroke the brush, I got new ideas. I’ll just begin coloring the alien and baby next. At least the lighting is decided, so then I can just add up whatever stupid background my indecisive mind come up with.

#30

Dimitrij, thank you. I wasn’t thinking of anything religious honestly. Just simple adoptive mother-son relationship. Madonna by Titian you mean? Haven’t thought of that, but it will make a great reference. Thanks!

Ivy00, thank you!

I really like this Pegahoul. I think it’s very wise to take the time with the sketch as you did. As for the background, guess that the less distracting the better. Good luck.

#32

I’d go for the backgound with the planets in the sky - I think it’s both more attractive and more readable. The interior feels cluttered by comparison, and steals from the foreground.

It’s coming along nicely and i’m looking forward to seeing more.

#33

Hello, This concept with a good potential of a good painting, I will
follow.
Good luck.

#34

2 hours of color adjustment and all I got is a bronze baby and a candy colored queen? I was pretty annoyed yesterday. It supposed to be more earthy, realistic look. But when I look at it again today, I thought “hey, that kinda cute” ^^. Let’s try again and see what happen next…

#35

GaeasHerald, thanks, I agree.
Teapot-7, thank you for the suggestion. I felt all composition forced, maybe it’s because the queen’s position is too straight, too centric, nothing dramatic. But I’ll work it up.
Tranchefeux, thank you very much! I’ll try not to dissapoint ^^

#36

I tried using earthy color (and the colors I imagined it to be), but it ended up too hot like a dusk in a desert. So I think I’m going to use this one instead. Rather plain, but with a baby on board I prefer cuter, cooler colors. (I’ll tweak it more, this is still the base colors)

#37

The first colour pass is my favourite…Its only because there seems to be more variety in colour shape and texture, not neccessarily richer, but I just seem to get more out of the piece, i find your splatters of digi paint more interesting than the ocean blue look…hmm, yea the better sky for sure…anyways…its all progressing very nicely…

love all your sketches man.

ace start on the painting! can’t wait to see more!

#39

All your concept sketches are ace! I really like where this is going though…the alien nanny, excellent! Great colours too.

#40

Very nice idea! I LIKE IT! The oveall scene is very good. On top of all the colours are very rich and well placed.
