I have to say sometimes your badassedness just scares me. lol You have so many wonderful ideas and your compositions and eye for detail are beautifully delightful! I think this is soo serene and beautiful and full of love! cant wait to see more!

#162

Looking aces! It’s got a “in the womb” look for me, and the way they embrace each other is really tender… lovely piece already! Looking forward the colouring!

#163

nerdyninja ~ heyyy celine! :bounce: very happy to see you here! :stuck_out_tongue: me hope to finish this as soon as possible, getting a little tired now :frowning: … need to pull forward and get to work
hope to see ya once again! take care dear! :stuck_out_tongue: god bless!

harachte ~ thanks a lot dude! i think the colour will be in the final submission ( that’s if i finish it quickly o_O ) … really needed the encouragement! thanks again dude! good luck to you!

#164

ok guys  … more specular details, shadows and first sepia color wash! … still a few things left … i gave into temptation and added the color :stuck_out_tongue: ( was thinking of doing it toward the final )

hope it looks fine … this is what i had in mind right from the start … choosing the sepia color was not easy, as there were many many shades n tones out there … finally i found another cool photograph that had a very classy color tone … the rest is now :stuck_out_tongue:

cheers my friends!

#165

by far the best of any of the “alien and human love” pictures…

yay!!

are you going to add more textures? or leave it sort and smoky?

#166

Thanks for sharing your specular process, Neville. So when you say you gave in and added sepia - does that mean you’re not planning on adding any more color than that? Interesting. Very classis looking. In that case, what elsae is left for you to do aside from signing it?

#167

your details are not specular, they are spectacular!

#168

Wow Neville! The idea did come along in full detail view! I like so much the serenity and peaceful look in it! I think the colors or not colors its just personal taste, I assure you I will love this one as it is…I can almost hear the ocean from their eyes, not because the emptiness but because its full of pure life! Great art my friend!:arteest:

#169

Looks good, neville  Interesting choice of colors.

#170

Hey Neville, really cool!! like a lot the mood and felling on your image, awesome. Maybe the shoulder part of her is a bit dark in realtion with the light and shadows on the alien arm and the biceps of him looks a bit flat, only a comment  Really superb work! A great experience to see all of the evolution on this image! Cheers

#171

close to finishing … next will be fix ups and a little something …

i couldn’t have done this part without two amazing photos … once this piece is complete … it’ll be reveal time as to which reference images i used in order to bring it to this level

many thanks for your suggestions and encouragement!

moving on folks …

Cyberone ~ thanks a million dude! yep … kinda, i’m trying not to make everything look so evident … in fact, more subtle … most of the wrinkles and lumps are pretty faint but still can be seen … more or less this is the final color tone i’m using

walrus ~
yo mike!! i’m happy you like the specular process :stuck_out_tongue: hehe … yep, this is it for the coloring, i think this is my first challenge work with a single tone, on the contrary, there are two other artworks in the gallery that don’t have any color at all  still have a bit to do … will be back soon  thanks for dropping by dude! :stuck_out_tongue:

GaeasHerald ~

#173

Wow…this one is truly beautiful! So full of emotion!

I hope you win!

#174

GO GO GO GO! even more amazing!! A part from the incredible 2d skills (really amazing and superior) what Kill me (in a positive way  obviously) is the style.Elegant (extremely) touching (maybe the most important aspect of the image) and in general beautifull. At the moment the image may be a closed work. Is already perfect for me…so i find myself unable to imagine what kind of “extra” touch you can put in. Marvellous.

#175

Neville don’t tell me it’s gonna be a sad story ? She is crying …
