Nice to see some strong updates on the lady. She is so beautiful. But I think the emotion will be stronger if she is not smiling, but looking blissfully sad, as if savouring her last moment with her lover.

simovici ~ thanks a lot for your kind words buddy! :stuck_out_tongue:

jeromoo ~ hey bro! great to see you here! :stuck_out_tongue: … yup, that’s the actual route i thought of earlier, i even had my doubts about keeping her smile, but then i thought … she’s thankful, for the love that was given to her… and that it was going to be her last … ( hehe … you’re the first i disclosed a part of the story to  ) … as for one of the elements … there’ll be a tear … but me a little worried as to how it should flow …
ok … another thing for u dude :stuck_out_tongue: … the smile … its part of the title too
cheers man!

This is just gorgeous, Neville! The expressions on both faces, the tenderness between them, and as usual, your trademark meticulous attention to rendering that makes your 2D work look utterly 3D. I like her expression, and while I don’t know your whole story yet - you’re being so secretive! - I can sense from the last exchanges that it’s something both tender and happy and sad at the same time… maybe just some oh-so-subtle wrinkles on her forehead will add a very subtle feeling of sadness and wistfulness to her face without making her smile any less? But it’s not fair for me to comment without knowing whatemotions you’re trying to elicit yourself. Anyhow, it’s looking super, keep going! Get to color soon, you don’t have much time left!
good luck!

i really like the idea about the subtle wrinkles on her forehead! even though the reference image doesn’t have them, the wrinkle addition will be good for this piece. :stuck_out_tongue:
me still have lots to do  yup, even the colour process has to start! have to get on to it :frowning:
many thanks to you mike! take care! and good luck to you too!

Wow Neville, that is looking fantastic, looks like a 3d model , in fact it looks more like a 3D model than most of my 3D models look like lol. Congrats on the spectacular work, looking forward to you finishing it!

Hey Neville, really great my dear magician!! I love the peaceful expressions on the couple, really cool !! Is amazing too see the great “render values” on your image my friend!! Maybe you need a bit “flesh push” on some contact points; the alien hand on the woman head, the alien chest with the woman chin, the forehead of the woman and the alien mouth, only a comment  Again , incredible magic show like always my friend!! All the best! Cheers!!

I also thought it was 3d on first glance. Very nice smooth airbrushing, giving it an almost luminous look. The form has a beautiful sculptural feel. Keep it up!

Hmmmm… are you holding something back from us, Neville? Are you really going for a monocromatic look here?
