added a deep shadow pass and yes … gills … as i mentioned earlier, there will not be any background art, complete blackness ( darkness will be too much of a … er … dark word 
)

Hi Neville, nice stuff. Definitely fooled me into thinking it was 3D. I would recommend against total blackness in your finished piece. Instead of showing some background setting, you can try adding interesting effects like in the poster “My Blueberry Nights” for example: http://www.filmtakip.com/filmres/or/MY-BLUEBERRY-NIGHTS.jpg
