looking great so far…
top modeling as always
cheers
Absolutely amazing work! But then your work always is.
Good luck in getting this finished in time.
awesome modelling monsit! hope u can finish on time! good luck it looks already fantastic!!!
Better and better modeling is very well done, even if the alien is a bit weird, he’s naked, it’s strange. May you add him some clothes or something. Time is short i know but … well it’s my 2cts of crits.
However it’s a nice image. Waiting for textures.
david.
Monsit, This is looking nicer, glad you’re getting some textures and colors in there! I’m finding the changes that you’ve made to the back of the alien’s head confusing: It looks like he (she? it?) has a third hand growing from the back of the scalp, and it makes it really hard to read. I spent a awhile looking at in and trying to count hands, and wondering where the rear arm had to be positioned to have a hand positioned back there. (It doesn’t help that the back hand, touching the human’s, is dark and hard to read. Only after looking for a while did I realize that the third back hand wasn’t a hand at all but a protrusion from his head. Anyhow, just a suggestion that you might want to simplify that part fo the model to make it read more clearly. Good luck!
This image reminds me of donato’s piece. It’s on the cover of spectrum 13 book. You should check it out if you have not already. Nice image so far monsit.
Nice modeling, and the shaders are coming along nicely!
Looking forward to seeing the final image. Well done!
thebest : thanks mate:thumbsup:
walrus : thank you , mike , I totally agree with you , I will try to fix this hand issue but time is runing out , anyway, I will try , thanks for good comments
beelow : yes , I feel the same with you too , but I think the content and composition is different , thanks for comment !
headtrip : thank you ,!
Fantastic work Monsit! I haven’t taken a look at this(or anything else in the challenge) for a while. I’m happy to see you picked up the pace, did so much in so little time and the work is up to your very high standards.
Very dynamic as usual and totally rocking. You have fitted so much detail in this composition. I agree with Walrus about the alien. Also maybe the top of the image is getting a bit crowded? Add some space? I am curious to see where you go with the alien final profile and colouring. (somehow I keep imaging warm colours)
Keep going, you will finish with great results!
all element are almost done , next step is to add some touch up at some point, add effect , and thanks to walrus to make very important point , so I will find the way to add more fx to focal point of the image , comments are welcome ,
and thanks for support!
It is interesting to see how you approached this image and how it went from an un-textured model to its current state.
Simply the best, congratulations! This remember me the illustrations of Donato Giancola. For me, you have to win the first prize.
The alien design and modeling are excellent in my opinion. It looks like a space seahorse-man of some sort, lovely. Maybe adding some dramatic colours to the back tentacles/leaves could help the rest of the anatomy read better?
Keep up the fantastic work!
OZ : thanks man!
Sleepyghost : thanks , yes , i think will refine the alien a bit , but can’t do much because the render take a lot of time on my old machine , hope you finish your entry too , good luck
John Keates : thank you:)
dascerra : I notice it too , maybe his image is in my head but I think the content and composition is different , thank you for support too , good luck to you !
GaeasHerald : thanks , I plan to add more glow effect to the ball on the back of alien , hope it make image look more interest,
Ok, here is close to final , fx like glow, lens blur ,dof has add, maybe next entry will be final , but comments are alway welcome
