Alrighty…after some sickness and poorly timed traveling, I’m back workin on this challenge. I’m probably too far behind to complete something to my satisfaction, but I’ll keep on truckin’ and see what I come up with.

This is a concept I had floating around my head for a couple days. It’s losely based on a scene near the end of Sundiver, the first book in the Uplift series.

POSSIBLE SPOILERS AHEAD
Mostly I want to capture the tention and preperation of mounting an attack against this supposed friend. I want to capture the hugeness of the sun/space with the intimate moment before a battle. I’m planning to obviously flesh out the characters more, maybe pose the crouching character so he has his head against the dome and looking to his right over his shoulder so you can see more of the face. I want to add some nurnies and greebles ot the interior of the dome. The outside is going to hot and smooth and the inside of the dome would be like a cool refuge, with brighter cool light and wiring and padding.

It is nice and exciting to see someone working the same milieu as I am. Unfortunately I share your fears for not finding the time to finish.

Like your scene and I’m curious to see the details form.

I hope I’ll be able to update this weekend and give you a little competition. I still haven’t decided on a comosition, but atleas I’m not going for the same scene as you.

Thanks man…yeah there’s no hope of finishing now, too much crap going on, but I wish you the best on yours! I’ll continue to work on it as a side project after this competition is over though I think
