Hello all,

I finally launch myself. For this challenge, I’m gonna represent a woman, victim of a crash, in the coma. During this crash, she lost her arm but it had been replaced by some extraterestial life form that lives in symbiosis with its host.

Here is the base mesh of the woman and the “big cylinder” in which she sleeps.

I’ll begin without concept as I enter the challenge quite late.

I like your idea, Cadmus. Makes me think about her floating (in liquid?) in that tube with the alien. Such a great change to play with colour and light. I’m curious to see what your alien will be like.

BTW you will need a concept to fill in the competition milestones. Maybe make a rough composition of the whole scene and call that concept/previz?

Yep Sleepyghost, it was the idea. And ok, I’ll try to sketch something.

The first shot of the alien arm. I’ll probably have to review its general shape as it doesn’t seem to have its own mind (but here is the idea).

So here is the skecth of what i’m aiming to do.

The model with some work on normal maps and textures. I will add more details on the woman, especially at the interface of her skin and the alien arm.
A lot of work is also waiting to me on the hair.
