As prophesied, the gods returned when the stars of Leo aligned with the Nile. This time their intervention would change the direction of the earths civilization for all time to come. Seneferka is an ambitious king, easily swayed by offerings of vast empire and power. He is easily manipulated . His wife, queen of Egypt, sees through the deception of the “gods” but does not have the political power to deny their offer. Before his time is done, Seneferka’s intervention yields great monuments. The most impressive this planet has ever seen. But by then, that which he once valued the most, his family, has been tainted with the blood of an alien race.

Azagthoth-Thanks. Ive always been intrigued by the possibility of aliens influencing the ancient egyptian civilizations. Pretty cool stuff in my mind.

Fetus23-haha. thanks man. In the full res version its a little more clear that the queen is infact pregnant. By having the alien behind her, with his arm around her, I was trying to imply that there was something going on there. Trying to promote the viewer to question whos baby that is, with the answer leaning towards it being an alien hybrid.
This challenge has been a great experience. I am so truely inspired by all of you. There is so much amazing talent out there, I am energized to be involved.

I’m annoyed with myself for not following this thread more regularly. Your final image and story are superb. I love your drawing style and use of colour and light to create the environment. This is a really cool entry in this challenge and I wish you lots of luck with it

Cool looking aliens. Great story. The expressions and the way the one alien is lurking in the shadows really does an excellent job of telling that story.

nickjsky-Thanks. I originally really liked the visual language of the alien lurking in the shadows behind the queen, with her upper body coming into the light. I faced a bit of a challenge there with the alien design I chose. Because the tattoo like blue designs on them are so bright it was impossible to have him as conceeled as I had originaly imagined. So, I am pleased that you got this feeling from him, even with his bright blue give-away. THanks!
