Hi Jack!
My thoughts on this latest WIP:
Perhaps try to seperate the different planes of depth a bit more. But a little haze/fog into the scene to make the silhouettes of the characters read better. Also, don’t let it get too dark!
Hi
Very impressive work! When I looked at your composition I somehow envisioned the rocks as half-transparent crystalline structures - you could play with the light passing through them. I also could imagine that giving the image some “ambient” colour or atmosphere would unite the composition - I could imagine something going toward the violet range.
Anyway - just some thoughts on my part.
Keep up the great work!:buttrock:

Knuckle, lower weapon arm, feet.
tomorrow weighting, weapon, shader, fix final scene, check and confirm turntable scenes.
Jack, I really like the new posing of Tiffany and Knuckle. It makes the whole image very tight and the attention of the audience goes right on the Kuns. Keep your energy up!
But I feel sorry for the faces which are now not being seen. The silhouettes of the two character’s faces are not really flattering. I liked the ‘shh’ pose better.
checking all scenes tonight. start to render passes tomorrow (28th). finish rendering all passes latest by 30th.
Warlus’s recent update gives me the idea of showing how I form my image. I strongly suggest you to visit his entry, as well as check out his detailed progress. Many thanks Warlus.
so here comes mine. sorry not as detailed as Warlus’. In fact, not detailed at all, just explain what those five images are:
Toon shading - diffuse pass
Lambert shading - shadow/highlight pass
Ambient Occlusion - Multiply/Overlay pass
Layer combining result with background
Retouch and color correction result (close to final)

it is so nice to see these updates. I really like the new composition for Tiffany.
I do agree w/ Daniel’s advice. “add some haze/fog” will create more depth and pop out the main character a little bit.
I like what I see here~looking great~
keep going shifu! almost there!
i agree with sweet_bee, you can add something in close up like rocks, alien plants,… and something in Background and create depth field maybe.
It’s my 2cts.
However great cacarcters and improvements since i came here
David.
yup … i think a little fog will do
i guess, even a starry night sky, wat say bro?..
this is already turning out to be a big punch!
go go go!
The expression of the alien (the one w/o weapon) is so amusing
Really a great composition and character modeling work ![]()
rendering character turn tables right now.
fix some rocks then i will start the final render of each passes this weekend.
