I do like the new direction you are taking for the texturing part: very stylized and echoes more harmoniously with the stylish modeling you have there.
Keep it up!
p.s. The weather is so nice outside!

Good concept, amazing models. I just loved their expressions. Yu’re going really great mate. Wainting for updates! ![]()
Wow I like the texture it looks wild! I like the froglike spots. one question: do they glow? because in the model they look great, but in the dark enviroment of the scene they could stand up too much. Just a thought anyway.
Well i got to say, I love the scared one’s face. And it’ll be great to de the textures on the girl…
You have mede an impressive progress!
The Gubru texture turned out really nice! I very much like the look of the last textured pose. It lets the texture stand out and work really good with the cartoony modelling I think. I’m really curious how you will light your scene in the end. I hope, you don’t get too realistic with the lighting so that your textures read nicely and colorful in the end.
Tiffany’s eye direction needs to be fixed. Kun_key_spot intensity may need to drop a bit.
Rock texture tmorrow.
Jack, nice improvement of the composition!!! I also like the way that you changed the ratio of the canvas. Looking forward to see more!
handlebar, CGIPadawan, OZ, Martinielsen, thebest, decosouza :Thank you guys! For those of you who also entered this challenge, hurry up and good luck!
jeromoo: Jerome, congratz on finishing of the work. Thank you so much for your suggestion on the skin toon. I will adjust them before the final render.
odedios: Yes Oscar, I do think the girl’s hand is huge. I might retouch before the final render or just leave it like that for now. There are a lot of things i dont’ like about those models, mesh wise, texturing wise, pose wise, etc. However the time is close now, I need to finish Knuckle and move to final render and ps retouch.
SteevieWoo: Hey buddy, nice progress so far, time’s ticking, you got hurry up, or else…
Scala: Thanx Eric. An idea of some sort of lava gun poped in my mind while I was texturing. Donglu said the color of the lava is too saturated, takes attention away from the Kuns. I do agree with her. I will desaturate that area when retouching in PS.
digitaldecoy: Final composition is out, as well as the lighting. you will see more progress tonight Daniel.
Rocks, Kun, Tiffany and Knuckle will eventually rendered separately. I will turn down the saturation of the rocks.
Knuckle is not in the scene, it is not 30th, final rendering and final retouch has not start yet.
I’m really enjoying your process here! It’s very cool to watch it all come together.
I have some thoughts on the current WIP if you don’t mind.
I think, it would be cool to make the perspective a bit more dramatic. Maybe a little fisheye lens distortion would help to emphasize the height of the Gubru. And make sure that Tiffany’s finger really sits on her lips. At the moment, you can not definetely tell if she is pointing or doing the ‘shh’ gesture.
Great work so far! Keep up the good work!
