Uplift Universe - Image Entry: Holly Fix
Ok, so Ive been bouncing around ideas in my head and Ive decided what my concept will be. Yes I know its good to sketch out and play with it, but I have a tendency to over sketch and accomplish nothing, so I am just going to choose this topic and if it changes later then so be it! So Ive been thinking what shows relations more than a wedding? With a wedding the joining together of two families and not to mention the joining together of two lovers. So this first post is a collage of wedding photos that I googled to get me started and entered into the challenge, more posts soon!
Im thinking a casual moment in the wedding like when the bride and groom cut the cake and feed it to each other. So that is where Im going with this idea.
Hey, you stole my subject!!
Just joking. It will be interesting to see how your take on the subject turns out.
first sketches of some costumes that the groom or random guests could be sporting! i dont want the standard tuxedo, i may get closer to that in the end but i want a little bit of a fantasy feel to my costume designs.
interesting concepts already, you could do a real play on the “Knight in shining armour” theme
Marley
just wanted to show a little bit of my thumbnail process.
thanks for the comments everyone it keeps me inspired!
more sketches of aliens that could be in the scene and the groom possibly…ive decided the groom will be the alien and the bride will be human. more to come soon. just a few more concept sketches and then im going to start finding the composition, which i have a pretty good idea of what i want.
So here is what the groom will look like…he is reptile like almost dragon like and this is the costume direction i will be going with him. he will not be wearing the boots but that really shouldnt matter because i dont think i will be showing the feet in the final composition.
