Uplift Universe - Image Entry: Hans Schwaiger

Looks great so far, I’m really curious what the finished composition will look like since there was no head or torso in your concept.

Ich erwarte mit die typisch walross’sche hohe Qualität!

#16

Nice modeling.
Good luck for the challenge!

#17

rigging is not perfect, I know, maybe I will improve it. painted a slight colormap. I think, it’s time to work on the alien

#18

The alien is the fun part eh?

The skin-material looks nice so far. Only thing that bothers me are the anatomical problems at his left upper arm/shoulder/elbow.
But you’ll fix that, I’m sure.

#19

Again…a very well done model.Keep it up!:wavey:

#20

watch out, aliens are coming

#21

I think it’s to early to say something, but there’s no doubt that the aliens will look great.
But why’s that annoying noise/grain in the picture?
Some kind of DOF?

#22

SaphierS, yes it should be a sort of DOF - I were very impatient. Here the better version

#23

added the little aliens and worked on the mans anatomy and eyes.

#24

after several tries I think I’ve got a way to place some wrinkles

#25

changed POV, started building the scene, added some hair which need a lot of work. I also noticed that I should model the mans hips

#26

doing hair in blender ist so much fun

#27

just another WIP

#28

So aliens and human are assimilating each other. What follows ist work on textures and lighting.

#29

so, its done. I dont think that I have time enough to make it perfect but I am satisfied with it.

I woke up in the middle of the night, feeling a warm light from behind. I took my teddy and sat up - recognizing the small wormy creatures crawling up my arms. Somehow they let me know that I didn’t have to be afraid so I let them do what they did … and enjoyed it to the ful

#30

Bravo, looks great!
I never doubted you’ll finish it.

#31

Hey Hans!

Glad to see your final image!
Even if the frame isn’t the nicest (double copyrighted), your postprocess hat a very good effect on the overall mood in your picture. Another nice piece!
Good luck.

#32

I didn’t post before because wel… i’m chicken. Great to see what you’ve done. Was a little worried baout the hairs before but you’ve handled the particle dispersion quite nicely.

#33
