Hi

I introducing my concept idea. The alien who thinks about human rase with the skull in his arm.

#3

Hi I’ve started designing the alien. I’ve also tried animate some walk with these three legs and its possible, but I won’t animate it yet.

#4

i like the design of the character and the colors tone … lookin forward for more.

#5

I like your idea very much ! Great concept !

Do you rough model in 3D first and then paint over with photoshop to make your concept drawings?

Cheers,

Felipe

#6

yes I do, but draw idea of shape is basic. 3d space is the best for checking elements in perspective, or I can sculp rough clay model.

I’m thinking about some untraditionally cloth for creature, because don’t want he to be nude as many aliens. What do you think about it?

#7

Hi, your concept is interesting. I was wondering about the creature anatomy. It seems to have human anatomy with shoulders biceps etc…Maybe it could be interesting to think an other anatomy, an alien anatomy  in opposition to the human skull. Or maybe it is your idea, these creatures are the distant “children” of humans ? (sorry for my english)

#8

When alien has some similar body part you can imagine more possibility what is the relationship between human and this creature. Maybe it is the human child… or another

here is the basic poly mesh of creature prepare to Zbrush. So hooray to it.

#9

I will chek it as much as posible.Good luck,
Arturo

Great idea!! i like it a lot! the creature model looks like ll’be something special.:bounce:

#11

Hi
Thanks everyone…

I’m still sculpting the alien model. My aim is give to creature some bionic and strange appearance. Something between organism and machine mix together.
What do you thing about the model?

#12

vveeeerrryyy interesting!..this model is going to be a “big thing”! keep it up!!

#13

The idea of a mix between mechanic and organic forms communicates quite nicely! I like the edgy style of your sculpting.

#14

nice creature i am looking forward to seeing it textured.

#15

Hi

I finished the model. Now I’m going to do maping and then paint texture.

#16

Wow, great alien design.

#17

Hi

I’m sending a few images of my tests in Maya. I created displacement map from ZB and tryed apply to model, then I added siple texture and set some lights for better see.
The model of alien in more hard looking then my concept so I will work on some compromise. I thing that legs is to hard I have to repair it.
My aim is to create simple 3d image how I can use as bakground for final painting. So the final piece would be combination of several techniques.
Thaks for your replies and critiques and good luck all in Uplift Univerze

Neat creature, a vary alien desing! Interesting surface texture on him too.
The only suggestion I have is to perhaps bend the arms that aren’t holding anything a bit more, flex them so they still feel a bit alive. right now the arm hanging straight down feels like just dead weight. But you’re probably not even to final poses yet… Anyhow, good luck with the rest, and nice work!

#19

I tryed use some SSS map with Maya skin shader. But the textures is not final yet.

#20

I’ve tryed some composition variation and I will probably prefer the bottom one. Because the idea of scene is more focused than on others images.
What is your opinion?
