HI Guys,

I found out about the competition pretty late but still it’s a very interesting topic so I couldn’t stop myself from entering.

I am going to try my best to complete my image. I am planning to complete this image using 3D.

My idea is to show an alien mother, who is an uplifted specie (a specie uplifted by aliens and humans together), to help humans. The help can be any form and in this case is giving birth to a “human baby” like a surrogate mother. A girl child is listening to the sounds in her womb using a stethoscope.

Such species can act like a mother, a nurse, a friend, a helper etc… well at least this is what I have in mind.

Ok here is the basic female model complete . I still have to modify it to make her look pregnant and add tentacles to her head.

and here’s the workflow of the model. I think I will also make her eyes bigger to give her more human perceived alien look.

Ok here is the modified pregnant model.

And here comes the alien tentacles. Tentacles are extrudes along curves which are places like hairs on the head.

I didn’t delete the extrude history which helped me move the tentacles around for placement as well as UV layouts.

Very nice modeling!
Haven’t seen many who use nurbs for character modeling lately, I’m also very fascinated
of nurbs functionality and use them very often!
Your character is very good looking!

Alright so I am done with the uv layouts. I didnt try to make it too accurate as I will not be animating and just one side of the model will be visible in the final image.

Yet there’s a lot to do… I still have to make mothers clothing & baby girl which I am planning to start today in ZBrush.

I did a very basic rig for the model just to pose her and get the baby girls pose correct. I will be adding the effect of gravity on her body parts later but for now this is what I have.

I will be modeling the girl model in ZBrush as its pretty quick to model and pose as well in ZB. Apart from that not much of her body will be visible so I will not have to worry too much about her uv’s.

Ok I better get some ~~~zzzleap now.

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update… This is the final pose as per the concept. This is an earlier capture with no detailing done.

Though texturing & detailing is also done which I will update later.

Thanks for apppreciating my work. This is the first online contest I have participated and It was a wonderful experience being with so many great artists.

MARVELLOUS WORK! THIS IS A TRUE MASTERPIECE…me and my wife stands in front of your image for half an hour having comments (positive) about this and that detail.
Again…a masterpiece.

Woman looks very nice indeed. The same for drappery. Very good image.
