I will change a little ligting.

Amazing work.
Altho I wonder if that hard corner fits the far rounded city.
Seems very abandoned and different from the scenery.

Love ti tho. Good stuff.

#163

Thanks for the details shot, it’s really amazing to see all the elaborate details you have
put there! I just keep looking at these renders of yours and feel great about 3d!
Don’t stop!

Grohu: Thank you Pawel. I’m working on the environment. I will make more soft architecture building.

varma: Hey Mathias, thank you. I will make more realistic rendering for final image.

Cheer

You attempted to a difficult task on this piece. There are many figures, lots of creatures and some sci fi environment. And you designed each of them meticulously. But this kind of job brings some problems as well. Anyhow you handled it quite well.

I hope you’ll change the light setting here. This one reminds a studio seeting more than daylight. Not so natural you know. But i know this is only a test render. – If i must say something for the composition then i must insist for a closer view. You’re too much far from the scene i think. Your details are very strong and you can be very i mean VERY close to it. I wouldn’ even care some balloons are out of the view. That’s your choice of course. I also think you can duplicate same baloons to make it thronged and to build a massive shot. You can keep those childs closer too. In this state, everything is still straggly to me. – And i think i’m talking too much…hehe …:stuck_out_tongue: – this will become a great one for sure. Well done again pal.

Akahraman has a point. Also… You have great characters, aliens, everything important is great. But the whole image lacks clear composition. IMO the cities are way too much, they draw the attention from the characters. The scene would probalby work just as well if there was just a wall as a background, with nice sunlight. If you really want the floating cities, make them far away, seen as silhouettes in the distance. Think haze, atmospheric perspective. Just a suggestion of shape, without the detail. Maybe try this: make the wall wider, but shorter, and make the towers visible above the top of the wall. If You want, i can make a paint-over to explain it better.

Thank you Andrzej and Alperen. I can’t see some mistakes in composition. Because ı have looked this image for one months. You are just mates. Floting cities will be seen as silhouettes. And lighting must be realistic as sunset. Today, ı created to new scene with back wall and pavement. I worked making as your suggestion. I will upload after finish the render. Thank you very much mates. Hope I can make a nice final composition.

#168

I finished building and pavement with textures.

#169

Hi
I tried new composition and ligting. I like its ligting and dramatic affect. I will try some changes and make a magnetic floor.

#170

Wow, excellent modelling and texturing. Cant wait to see the final image.

#171

The composition works pretty well…everything is clear and beautifull. Great work! now im very curious to see the final!

#172

Hi ahmetekn,

I think yours is certainly one of the most impressive entries. The idea is original and the modelling/texturing really nice. I do agree that the composition needs some work though. I think you could get a lot of milage out of just a little effort.

What I would do is I would put some kind of object just behind the characters, obscuring the horizon. It can look a bit “computery” to have such a large, flat ground plane and there is a lack of balence to all the forms on the right. I would use some kind of diagonal top to the object, probably starting from behind the girls head and ending up near the ginger lads bum. Some stairs maybe? Or an escelator?

I always use the “flip horizontaly” trick when my eyes are tired of a composition.

#173

I’d bring the camera angle up a bit and spread the alien baloons out
a whole lot more.

Just my 2 c.

Hey Ahmet,

The detail is killing me.. in all good ways. Great work!

I like how you posed the children in the end and I enjoy the alien-balloon sellers expression, which, with him looking down, does wonders. Also I quite like the balloons in a tight group. Connects them more to helium balloon sellers(here in our time) as that's how the balloons usually are. And I really like the addition of building corner and pavement. Again brings it closer to what we know.

The talk about composition is useful as that area could, imho, still be improved. Maybe and building-arch or something coming from behind the corner, and going up and left top corner - and leading the viewers eye down to the focus? Anyway feels like it needs something there between the building corner and the background cities.

Keep it up! Your work is certainly one of the greatest (and odd ..which is all good).

#175

:eek:God! I’m terrifying that Sleepyghost is reading my mind!
I was thinking same things.

#176

Thank mates for the valuable suggestions! I’m too tired and I can’t see some mistake in composition. Your suggestions are very logical. I will make some changes as your suggestion. My most important problem is can I finish renders at the time? Today, I must be finish all scene, modeling and start to rendering stage.

Thank you again, I glad wit your comments.

Cheers

Hei ahmetekn!
I understand your anxiety about the deadline pressure and all, and I’m sure you will find the most suitable solution for your concept soon enough to bring it to a fantastic “final”!
This is a super great concept and you deserve all the best for the voting!
Hang in there, dude!

#178

If you do put another compostional element in there then it can be very plain. Just as long as it doesn’t look wrong or draw the eye too much.

Oh yeah, another little composition thing to think about is that the pole the man is holding looks a little like it is emerging from the boys head.

I am giving you these crits about the composition because I think everything else is top-notch.

#179

Varma: Hey Mathias, thank you pal for your support. Your words was really encouraged me.

John: Thank you very much mate  . I glad with your beautiful sgeestions. If only I have more much time for challenge. I started late working for challenge and designded concept with lots of character and an environment. Finaly, I have many problems. But no problem for me, because this is my first challenge trying. I made a little different composision, I will upload soon.

Cheers

Hi. I made a little modification on the composition. I think this is more succesful than last composition. Maybe I can bring the floating city.
