That’s a great model…love the hat. How did you render the middle wireframe, I didn’t know Wings3D could display meshes like that.

#9

In the midst of being created from a moldy block of cheese I give you my 3rd grade school teacher:

Time: 1 hr 10 min

And here is the concept drawing:

I’m not very good at organics but this was a blast to do.

  • well done guys!

I think we’ll let the deadline go on this one… I’ll open it for another day for anyone else who wants to get theirs in and we’ll vote from sometime tommorrow morning.

#12

I guess this still needs to be done…

======================================================
Please reply below to vote for your favorite submission from the above 4.

results wil be posted here early next week.

#13

You get my vote Steve. How did you produce the top, middle wireframe? I didn’t know Wings3D had a display mode like that.

#14

Same here. Steve gets my vote but I think yours (Leebre) and romtins’ are great as well!

And Leebre, to get that view just use shift-tab for a smoothed view.

#15

Hmm… thanks guys I vote Leebre.

Guess that…uh…puts me in a slightly awkward postion. So next time I’ll make it a longer challenge, of say a month, perhaps that’ll get more people inclinded to compete…

Thanks again for taking part and watch this space!

#16

I vote for LeeBre too.

#17

All good stuff. When does the next challenge start?

I just re-joined the forums, been a few years…and I love Wings3D!! However, I usually find Maya (my other software of choice) to be better when modelling interior surfaces, and I switch between the two - but do the bulk of the work in Wings.

Let’s see some more challenges, and great artwork!

#18

I’ll try and get a longer format one together for this Friday (10th Nov)

#19

Is there a time LIMIT on these thingies? Also, do you ever do any longer challenges?

#20

Yep - the next one will be a longer challenge of about 2+ weeks and a definate deadline… Pop back later this week for more updates…
