Hello, first time using this forums im a student and am hoping to use this forum as an online journal for critique, to gain ideas and pretty much learn from the skilled members of this site. Now i ask if you could bare with me as its my first time undertaking anything like this before im not great at the terminology I was a graphic design/web designer before branching out into 3d so no doubt some of my methods are quite armature no doubt! Anyway moving on here is my initial research into developing concepts
For my project i am aiming to create a short cinematic sequence inspired by such cinematics as halo 3 believe

Basically i’ll set up a set with 3d/2d assets rendered (haven’t made my mind up how yet gonna test when the models are done) then layer said renders within after effects were i’ll add more VFX and using the parallaxing effect make the 2d images look 3d again like they do in the hearthstone trailer above.
I decided to base the scene on the blizzard universe so i maybe enter the piece into an art competition, however i wasn’t going to copy the blizzard character art style instead was going to design select assets in my own style and prey it looks recognizable and appealable still 
The environment will be set in an underwater ruin and will depict a ritual summoning of an old god!
