Is Sean Penn really underrated?

#3

I agree with Ellen Burstyn , she deserved that oscar and more with her performance in requiem for a dream.

William H.Macy

Steve Buschemi

I dunno I fell alseep during that movie :scream:

I like both William H.Macy and Steve Buschemi but they have sort of fallen into that role of “character actor” … Ever see state and main… Macy’s pretty good in that and well he was brilliant in Fargo as well.

Bruce Cambell

#6

did you all hear that Jonathan Brandis died?

I reall liked him on Seaquest DSV and Neverending story 2

#7

Hayden Christensen.

Star wars dialogue aside…he is a great actor and an all around nice guy.

Be sure to check out Life As A House on DVD and the upcoming release Shattered Glass…

Jeffrey Combs
Another one of those actors that gets very little recognition, I think largely because he’s so damn HARD to recognize, from role to role. He’s that good. Loved him as D-Day in Fortress, and as the psycho FBI dood in the Frigheners: “My body is a road map of pain!!”

Kevin Peter Hall
Yeah, he was just the guy in the costume… never got any lines, nobody ever saw his face-- but the Predator movies wouldn’t have been half as good without him.

Tim Roth
Another one tough to recognize-- it wasn’t till I started looking stuff up about him that I realized how many things I’d seen him in. His performance as General Theed in Planet of the Apes was the only reason I even liked that movie-- it made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Yeek.

Peter MacNicol
From “Vhy are you drippings vis goo?” in Ghost Busters, to him and that damn frog in Ally McBeal… his characters are usually silly, but he carries it off like nobody else.

Julian Sands
Creepy! And cool! Go rent the Warlock movies and Naked Lunch, heheheh

Toshiro Mifune
If you don’t know who he is… then somebody needs to thwack you with a newspaper or something.

Brian Blessed
Most recently, you’ve heard him as that Boss gungan dood in Phantom Menace. He was also the king of the Hawk People in Flash Gordon… and he’s a well known stage actor. From the original cast of “Cats”, to trying to climb Everest three times… he’s just an all-round cool guy. Huge beard.

[Rowan Atkinson](Rowan Atkinson)
He’s a comedic genius. Well recognized in other parts of the world. So why the hell don’t his movies come to theaters in my town, dammit??
