Undead warrior

#41

more updates please! it’s a pity to leave this great work in this stage…

ps: you are using poly, right?

#42

For the head of my second model i used the create polygon tool, and extruded…but I think I will have to give this method a shot next time. You can do this and are still looking for a job…

#43

cool,the shape is fantastic…really a cool modeler…

#44

Very nice, I like it a lot.
Just some minor details…don’t you think the teeth are a little perfect for an undead?

#45

Cool!!!

That’s all I can say! The ribs and collapsed belly are really well done man:thumbsup:. This is going to be a great piece!

Are you going to make his entire body or just the upper part?

C Ya.

#46

The remark on the teeth seems quite valid.

While there are parts of the body that take extremely long to detereorate, such as hair, bones, teeth, nails and muscle tissue, they should at least be slightly damaged. I’m going to guess at this point that they will have a dirty and chipped/scratched/cracked look once the texturing phase is done.
Well anyways, looking at how good this model of yours is, I can only say I’m looking forward to seeing your challenge entry

Keep up the good work mate!

#47

I’m not sure how much you’re trying to stylize this character so if you are just ignore me. It seems that the hip bones are too thin when compared to the torso. But very good work, I’m a fan of the emaciated look you have going. A thing to consider would be how your character died, as this would show up on their body easily and helps add of lot of character to undead. Of course they could have died of starvation in which case the body shows a very good job of it. Can’t wait to see more.

#48

ohh wow! thats crazy stuff here, ZAPAN !!

i didnt noticed that thread bevore and i have to admit that i´m in love with that crazy dead guy! i like the mouth area especially, very good figured out the teeth, great!

keep on working, hope to see more! 5* from me!!

#49

Amazing stuff my friend!

You know what I think about it… I love it
We want more updates… hop hop hop… next…

#50

Thx to all people ! very encouraging…

@ creAtoru’ : don’t worry I’m still on it , I work slowly for sure, but still there

@ ShiroiOokami : I think that’s a good way to start modelling an head because you can easily put the right meshflow, anyway it work pretty well for me…

@ xiao_x : Thank you!

@ ReMen : You are so right concerning the teeth , I’m gonna remove some of them and dirt it a little with the texture…

@ jmBoekestein : Thx buddy ! Actually I think it will be just the upper part … for him. I start imagine the scene and he will be on the front in that following pose…

@ SibSpi : Sorry no M&S entry for me because I haven’t enough free time but the next one maybe… All my free time is to make that crazy dead guy so…

@ RedGlass : Yes , you’re right the hips are to thin but in the final plan it won’t appear so…
and nice suggestion I will think about it , thx.

@ taisir : Woa thanks a lot , Your work is also very impressive can’t wait to see the final pic.
thx for rating

@ Poonks : Hop hop hop there it is… :scream:

Ok there is the complete body which will appear in the front of the camera…
Some issues with hands and arms , I’m gonna correct them but the pose will be pretty much the same…
I start add some bandage but there will a lot more and then texturing

C&C

#51

hehe, you crazy man, thanks also

i like the holes in the fingers, thats cool idea :scream:
the pose is also great

thx for the wire, the only crit from me i see the waist bones coming out and i like this, what do you you think about some more chest bones in the breast area? (in the wire i do not see any chest bone, thats a little strange   )

but, u´ll do that!

#52

Sorry to say, but I don’t like the hair…
I think it just doesn’t look right on a corpse which has been laying in a crypt or tomb for x years. Don’t get me wrong, it’s been worked out very nice, but it just doesn’t feel right.

(…Not that I feel up corpses…)

That’s just my opinion. Maybe you can put some off the bandage around his head, or something?

#53

Looking way cool!! I cant wait to see how you do the texturing.

#54

I have to say that this idea is really cool. To make it better here’s my suggestion:

1 The neck is a little bit long , on the contrary upper arm seems shortened.
2 The breastbone could be more “plump” It looks flatten
3 There are a lot of holes in the fingers so you may unify the style.Adding some holes or
hollowly struction in other places.
4 Though the tooth is the most stiff part on the body, Undead warrior should not have such kind of a perfect tooth without a slight damage.

Hope some of them are useful. keep it up !

#55

Hey Zapan,

Looks awesome. The only thing I’d like changed would be more perspective on the right hand, like having it point more to the left so you can see more details and it reads better. Otherwise I think it will be a great image!!!

#56

Nice progress so far. I like the detail and expression in the face. The arms look too short to me and the muscle structure around the shoulder dosen’t look right, but I think in your last post you mentioned addressing this. Nice work so far. Looking forward to seeing the final.

#57

@ taisir : Thx man , about the chest , yeah that’s weird but actually most of that part will be hide by some bandage or cloth so sorry but I won’t reorganized the mesh.

@ CrossFire : thanks a lot , actually it’s gonna start soon

@ wang4wang : I know about that the neck is too long but it’s made on purpose… I want to have a screamy look and I think that’s the long neck help to have it… Is that so shocking ?Actually on the fingers that’s not holes but tendons and I guess with texture that should be better…
And for the teeth , I will change them soon

@ jmBoekestein : Thanks , for the right hand more like that ?

@ Zom-B : Thx , yep I’m gonna redefine the muscles definition on arms and shoulders…

#58

thats looking great. keep it up

#59

I really like what you have going on in the neck area. Lots of detail. One crit, the characters ribs. You have his ribs start narrow, then flair out, then narrow up as they go to the clav. In reality though, the widest point of the rib cage, is the very bottom, then they narrow as they go up. Fix that, and you’ve got a winner.

hmmm… as i expected, from the beginning when i saw the first “sketches”, this work is gonna’ rock! man, i’m giving a serious thought of leaving 3d!
i’m still waiting for further updates and after u finish it i hope u’ll give me a high-res pic to put it on my desktop!

good luck & be inspired!
