Unable to use alphabetical order

Hello, everyone. This may sound silly, I don´t use after effects too much. I´m trying to open a new composition using an image secuence with gaps, and the option “use alphabetical order” is grey, it won´t let me use it and I don´t know why. I tried a range of psd images, then a range of tiff images. Please, could anyone illuminate about what am I missing? Thanx

I’ve never tried using the alphabetical import method. Do the files you are trying to import have a special character at the start like an underscore or something? Have you tried importing it as an image sequence instead of an alphabetical sequence?

Are the files you are trying to import, are they RGB?

Hello, CosmicRage, thanks for answering. They do have underscore, but not at the beggining, so I guess that is not the problem. I can import the image sequence, but as I said, this one have a lot of gaps, so AE fills them with that thing with colour bars. I read I need to have selected the option “use alphabetical order” to show only my images in the correct order despite the gaps, but it can´t be selected.
My images are tiff and I tried psd also. Do you thing it´s because of the format? Should I try png?
