Unable to see the Showcase Gallery thumbs and images???

Me too… it may be some problem with the image server, portfolios are gonne too.

It has been reported and has reared it’s head site-wide, and as soon as the great tech guys can hunt down the glitch, it will be addressed. Sorry for any inconvenience.

As Jason said, we’re aware of the issue and working to rectify it. To keep things simple, I’ll be leaving this thread open for updates but closing any others about this topic.

Same here, no thumb and main pictures on all the portfolios since 4 days almost with Firefox/3.0.9. May be an update problem. Cause I have another computer with firefox 3.0.5 and it’s look ok with the same addons installed … No problem with Opera 9.64 & Ie4linux 5/5.5/6.0.
I hope this little repport will help devs. Good luck.

[edit : I update to Firefox 3.0.10 , but same problem. ]

Our server was down for a while yesterday. Any works submitted to your portfolios may not work properly. If your gallery contains images with missing thumbnails or images, you must delete these images from your portfolio and submit them again.

Ok, this is my solution , I tried to uninstall all my addons one per one, without any success as clear cache, reset config:about … I finally made a clean reinstall and all my problem is solved.
I was almost sure it was my browser issue cause of Opera & Ie4linux working. I’m happy to see the gallery now !

Hi all,

I am trying to upload my profile picture since last 3 days with maintaining all the required parameters. bt when I press " Save Changes" button, it gives error and I am not able to upload the image. Though it shows my current thumbnail picture on the top of that wizard but after pressing " Save Changes" it gives error…

Any Solutions ???

First of all…Thank you so much for early reply…

The Image is 98 x 98 pix
The size of the image is around 4kb (.gif) format

The image is shown in " Your Current Profile Picture"

But when i press “save changes” button it give following error

vBulletin Message There has been an error in the upload. Please ensure that the file has been correctly selected and that the upload has taken place successfully.

PS : I tried with jpeg (jpg) format with same pixel size and < 24 kb image

I just uploaded it and it worked fine. We’ve been having some intermittent server issues lately, try it again now.

Same error once again…I think i will try it again with another computer and will let you know about that…may be after few hours…and now I cant even see your display pic…

I tried uploading my display picture from another system (which has another Internet Connection) but still I get the same error…Is there any specific procedure I have follow??? I am going to Forums>User CP>Edit Profile Picture> then delete ‘Your Current Profile Picture’ and then Browse for profile picture once again>save changes…am I doing it in a wrong way???

Please guide…

It looks like you have the skull image as your profile image already. Why are you wanting to change it anyway ?

I don’t know why you are getting that error. I just followed the same procedure and it worked fine.

The problem is…I am not able to see that skull which you are seeing…I see nothing as my DP…I can see that picture in to CP…No where else…I tried that with different machines, different connections, flushed my DNS cache, cleared my temp file…tried with everything…Can you see that image in to my profile…I mean in the forum…?

I think what you are looking for is the Avatar. This is set here: http://forums.cgsociety.org/profile.php?do=editavatar

I don’t know why these two things are separate. This is a vBulletin foible which we cannot fix. But if you want your image to display next to your username in posts you will have to set it as your Avatar.
