Here’s the idea…
Game title: Terra Demonis
Description: RPG in a demonical world… The ‘crate’ will be represented by a demon holding an item (the item the player can pick up), I think it would be energy of some kind or something like that… I’m still thinking about his pose… I’ll add sketches and stuff in a jippee… Had to make sure noone would get this idea sooner 
Why does 3DS always get an error and quit automaticly when I don’t save my works?? 
Ok… here’s my first concept… 878 polys used… Still have enough for the items and stuff 

I’ve done it as a wall-attachment, the demon is trying to come out from the wall, but he’s trapped and a stone-skin spell is cast (or somethin) and he becomes a stony figure… Used for keeping nice thingies in it, like health and stuff… I think I always wanted to see this in Diablo, and never got the chance… Judging by the texture’s I’ve been making this afternoon, it should look still somewhat alive 
Much more to come… I don’t like his left hand but I’ve no time to deal with it today (OH GOD, IT’S ALREADY TOMMOROW!!)… I’ll do it in a couple of hours of sleep

Looks nice, maybe you can round out the neck a little more. And it looks like your counting quads instead of triangles.
I took that as a reminder… Im doing optimization later on, to make it look more antic (and to lower the number of quads to 500 or less (thats about 1000 tri’s right?)…) The thing is, i just can’t get a good view of the thing… I’ll make a gif a bit later… Gotta make that hand look nicer right now… I’ll do some updates soon… Cheers!
Well… darn… I couldn’t optimize my work enough to get into the 1000 tris… But I got an idea that could work just fine
It will take me some time to make another render, I’m having technical problems with my comp…
Ok… here’s the new design… 919 (and this time) tris (and not quads, no sirre! no quads! :wip: )



It’s meant to be a demon enchambered in a crystal… The most of the body is just going to be mapped inside the crystal… The only thing I think I’ll skip is the item he’ll be holding in his arms… 1) Not enough tris 2) Don’t have an idea what it could be…

After a good night sleep, I came to name my project GOAT IN A SHELL… I think it suits it right… I’ll be detailing the head a bit, there’s still around 90 tris to go…
The texture really helps seperate the creature from the crystal. It seems like texturing is what’s probably going to sell it in the end.
I think I would try to make the beast visible through the crystal. You could keep the creature geometry pretty simple and make the crystal slightly translucent. If you need more tris to work with I think you could lose some from the crsytal.
I like it so far. Keep up the good work.
