description of game genre -FPS futuristic squad fighter.

backstory : originally used for mechanical and medical uses, the FMC [Follow-Me Cabinet] was made in 2095 to aid construction of the Tokyo Sky City. Miyamoto Tech felt to help workers work on a such a huge project, having their tools brought to them would speed up productivity. the FMC not only followed workers around, but also handed tools to workers and cut down major walk time.

later adopted in 2145 by the military to transport weapons and ammo in military bases, the FMC was fitted with heavy armor and linked remotely to soldiers to help in war times. soldiers could use the crate as cover, reload their weapons, and obtain supplies. soldiers could easily guide/move the crates with ease thanks to their magnetic ball-bearing wheels that can lock down in place or flow freely over floors with little effort. soldiers could easily make a wall of FMCs and advance on enemies while being under cover of fire. later, they military fitted them with shields to help against energy weapons.

[early] concept sketch

just getting the shape down first. while i like the concave look [for strength], the fatter one would be able to hold more ammo. also seeing what version works with the wheels.

I like the concept. The middle concave one kinda looks like an xbox 360 :stuck_out_tongue: Pretty good.

yeap it does… but the design in my head has these things stacked on top of each other and being able to with stand a short fall. i also want them to be able to hold something very heavy inside of it. so with the ball/wheel setup, your able to move heavy object easily.

i was also thinking of a way for FMC to stand its self up or lay down by itself…hmmmm

still tinkering…

dropped the ball/wheel concept. for something like that, it would take more the 1000 polys, plus i like this look more. they now float over a cushion of air that comes out of the ends [from underneath the rounded, beveled part]. these also act as cushions and deflate to to lock down it’s location. now cutting up the inside and organizing it a bit. each FMC will be completely customizable so you can have as many drawers/compartments as needed.
