UGAC - PROP 102 - ULTIMATE CRATE/BARREL - GLandolina
Hello, This is my UGAC 102 thread,
I plan on making a dustbin for my prop, it will serve the function of a level population prop in the same way that crates are used.
Any comments are greatly appriciated.

Prop Infomation

  • My genre will be First Person Shooter

  • Background Information: This prop is to be placed on some type of london street setting (england) infront of most doors, some tipped over etc.

    Artist Information
I am Giuseppe, almost 16 years of age, from the UK

    • Please note that I am undergoing a GCSE exam shortly, but I believe I will get this done before the deadline.

[left]Here is my first piece of concept artwork, not sure if I will do any more concepts or jump straight into the modelling.

Update Message: I will start the modelling tomorrow, but if anyone has any ideas or comments for anything on the concept or the prop itself: feel free.

I like it, wanna see it started

Nice idea. I hope you include the guy with the teeth

#5

hehe thanks, the teeth guy was a bored moment :stuck_out_tongue:
i’ll include him as an easteregg

#6

gah i lack the skills needed to model this:P

#7

So say “to hell with it!” and fake it!

#8

lol.
I am thinking of doing a really low-poly model along the lines of a psp type thing which would be easier for me. not sure yet. WHY did i choose such a complex model.

#9

I totally second that. And with a garbage bin (love that idea) you just can’t go wrong me thinks.

if this gets too cruddy looking i might just go with a waste-paper basket instead, and change my environment to a office whereby the powerup postits are hidden in the waste bins:

Looks pretty okay to me. Just keep adding polies until you hit 1000. Easy as pie.

You just need to optimize the side panel, there are a lot of excess polies there. I think you accidentely made a cut in the wrong place.
