Thanks for your feedback. I recently started modelling the piggy, and I recognized, that
1000 polys are a bit too much for it. Maybe I add some accesoires to it later.
Here is a first wip picture:

hmmm, I’m currently thinking about giving the pig power-boots
and some electro-stuff that make it running faster.

I LIKE IT :bounce::bounce:
very interesting idea. i’ll check from time to time so see what’s going on. nice shoes!
on the other hand, it looks like the next model of playstation!
(the pigstation)
Ok, now.
The modelling is pretty much finished. Now the fun begins
! I have about 1500
so i have to reduce a lot! (especially the shoes!) Let’s see how far I can come down.

schön daß du mitmachst.
the model looks well proportioned, i’d like to see the wireframe layout.
The pig looks excellent. Just dont forget to optimize! You need to lose about 500 tri’s.
i wonder how did you find the number of triangles and edges. i am using 3d studio max and all that it tells me is the number of faces and vertices.
your count seem kind of high. you might have a lot of hidden faces, ie feet and head.
Thanks for the feedback jOBe,
I thought about it already. I try to change it soon to get real!
pig feet
Ok I tweaked around a bit and reduced even a bit too much…

Ok, did some mesh cleanup now and realized, that it’s very important to triangulate
the mesh before the uv-mapping.
So, here are some wireframe pictures:

(The polycount is even slightly lower now.)
I tried around a bit with the feet, but decided to leave the mesh like that, because I don't
want to create a realistic pig. It would be a humorous game, as i already explained, so
I think it's ok like that (Or have you ever seen a pig with booster-shoes ?)
...I'm going on with uv-mapping now but I'm not that fast than some others because
I’m currently working on a project here at the Games-Academy…
look at those tiny boots on this one!
this is a sweet pig. just to hug
and also a real great idea…a save point pig.
but i didnt get it, is it running away, or always in motion?
hmm, that’s a thing i still don’t know by myself.
My actual idea is: When a player reaches a certain point, the pig is coming
along (because it can run so fast ^^) and offers the player to save.
Ok now, I started texturing today and things are getting shape. I have still some problems
with the lightmap but I think I have to paint shadows on my own.

Looking good, very cute.
You might want to detail the helmet a bit more, like you did in the sketches. Maybe put in some clasps or some other things that give it more detail.
Also, the skin might use some slight color variation.
Keep it up!
You’re right Supervlieg. I need some more detail at some points and I’m working
on it and have to hurry a bit (because tomorow is the deadline
).
So I did a first test with normal-and-specularmap (which is very crappy, but
good to see, what it might look like after all).

some texture changes.
I decided to make the texture more comic-style like I did it in the concept.
(Thanks for the tip jOBe
)
